Hermes Agent
Hermes Agent is the private, persistent architect layer in Forza’s automation architecture.
It runs in WSL2 on the mini PC and maintains full, long-term memory of the Forza UKB, escalation rules, approval thresholds, margin floors, and operational patterns. Its primary role is to design, refine, and improve automation workflows over time through a self-improving loop.
Key Principle: Hermes is a thinking and policy layer only. It designs rules and workflows but never executes any actions that write to production systems (QuickBooks-Online, Microsoft-365-Outlook / SharePoint-OneDrive, MVMNT, HaulPay, Highway, etc.).
Status: Going live 2026-04-28 — installation in progress (Hermes + OpenRouter + n8n being installed today). Planned for private use only during the build phase. The team will not have direct access to Hermes.
Relationship to n8n: Hermes designs and generates n8n workflows. All actual execution and writes to company systems are handled exclusively by n8n.
Safety Rule: “all writes to anything on company systems have to go through n8n” + human-in-the-loop approval for any financial actions.
